Oscar®-qualifying children's film festival, founded 1997. Each March, roughly 100 short and feature films from around the world screen for ages 3–18 across three weekends at venues throughout NYC, with filmmaker Q&As and awards decided by audience vote. Beyond the Festival, NYICFF runs FilmEd Field Trips for K–5 classes ($10/student, free for Title I schools), a national Kid Flicks Tour, and year-round preview screenings.
