Visit websiteMy grandmother (in-law) used to speak so positively about the chess shop in her neighborhood. On occasion, she would even threaten to send us one of their sets. She sent it to one of the cousins, who still brags about the quality of the chess pieces Oma has chosen. She passed away several years ago.
I have not being in the store but my daughter has done some of their chess tournaments. The tournaments are great, they have a lot of trophies for the younger rated sections.
This is a complaint regarding the chess tournament held at Bryant Park on August 25th, in which both of my children participated. Unfortunately, the event was marred by several serious organizational issues that affected the fairness and integrity of the competition. Firstly, the event took place on
Mark Kurtzman from Tri-State Chess is a great guy to deal with. My husband went all the way from Sydney, Australia and bought some colored chess pieces for school kids to play with back here in Australia. Good value and great service. Lisa
Great instruction. Tim and Sam are the best! My son is so, so happy with TriState Chess. They know how to infuse enthusiasm for the game.
