How do you ask a school to keep your child's photos off public social media without opting out of ordinary classroom memories too?
I'm filling out kindergarten forms and the photo permission seems very broad. I'm happy with a picture in a private class update, less happy with my 5-year-old on a public account. Has anyone found a clear way to explain that without a long back-and-forth?
I'd ask whether they have separate choices for classroom sharing, internal displays and public posts. Don't assume one checkbox covers the distinction you mean. I'd put your preference in plain words and ask them to confirm how it will be recorded.
I'd also ask what happens during group photos and school events. I don't want my child made to feel excluded, but I do want the adults to have a plan instead of trying to remember a conversation from August.
