We're choosing between tap and hip-hop for fall. My 7-year-old just wants to dance, but I'm seeing mentions of costumes, photos and rehearsals without many details. How do you find out the full commitment without sounding like you're already trying to get out of things?
Ask for the full-year calendar and a written list of required versus optional charges. I'd specifically include costume orders, tickets, extra rehearsals and whether missing the show affects class participation. You're choosing a family commitment, not being difficult.
