What do you ask on preschool tours when every school sounds amazing and says the same things?

We toured 3 preschools and honestly they all sound the same on paper. Montessori, Reggio-ish, play based, outside time, kind teachers, all the nice words. I'm trying to see past the brochure talk. What questions made the real differences show up for you?

Ask what happens when a child refuses to join circle time. Their answer tells you a lot. Do they shame, force, redirect, offer another job, let them watch? That is real philosophy.

I watched the adults more than the toys. Are they warm when a kid interrupts? Do they kneel down? Do kids look relaxed? A beautiful room with tense teachers is still tense.
