What happens at pre-K rest time if your 4-year-old has stopped napping and a daytime sleep means they're awake until 10?

My 4yo starts pre-K in September and barely naps anymore. If she sleeps in the afternoon, bedtime goes on forever. I'm not expecting the teachers to build a whole different day around her, but what can we reasonably ask about quiet time?

I'd describe what happens after a nap rather than just saying she doesn't need one. Then ask what a child who stays awake can actually do: look at books, lie quietly, move to another spot? For our preschool search, I wanted to know how long the quiet part lasted and whether an adult would keep trying to get my kid to sleep.
