Where would you start with art classes for a 3-year-old who loves paintbrushes but refuses to touch glue, clay or anything sticky?
My preschooler asks to paint all the time, but won't put a finger in anything messy. The fall art classes I'm seeing seem very hands-on, literally. I don't want to pay for an hour of somebody trying to make him touch slime. What would you ask before a trial?
Tell them the exact materials your child likes and avoids. I'd ask whether a brush, spoon or another tool is an ordinary option, and whether they can choose a different material. I wouldn't want success to mean touching the sticky thing despite saying no.
