Which questions help you choose a cooking class for a 12-year-old who wants to do the cooking rather than watch an adult demonstrate?

Ask how many children share one workstation and who handles each part. I'd want my child measuring, preparing and cooking with suitable supervision, not spending the lesson waiting to sprinkle something on the finished food.

I'd ask how they teach tool use before children begin and how an instructor supervises several stations. A list of impressive dishes wouldn't reassure me if nobody can explain what the kids do safely on their own.
